SAM MACON lives in Los Angeles, but he’s from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He’s been making images move/tell stories/communicate/etc since he commandeered the family video camera (and their Canon A1) in the early 90s.
Now, he does that for brands, ad agencies, musicians, institutions, publications, and whatever/whomever else might need their story told through moving (or still) images. He can also help you write/develop/concept that story as well.
He also makes documentaries, writes scripts, designs and sells random hats sometimes, and rents a cabin for you to stay at in Idyllwild, California. Before he became a “professional” filmmaker, photographer, and writer, he used to scream in a hardcore punk band.
A (very partial and very diverse) client list includes Porsche, Rivian, McDonald’s, Dazed & Confused, Kraft, ESPN, Mother Denim, New York Times, Northwestern Mutual, Percival, Johnsonville, Subpop Records, Jersey Mikes, Duluth Trading Company, and more.
You can head over to Tessa Films to hire him or shoot him an email at samacon414@gmail.com to say hi.
